Mongla, August 9 (V7N) – A total of 300 students were honored in Mongla on Saturday for their outstanding results in the 2024 SSC and Dakhil examinations, during a recognition ceremony held at the Upazila Auditorium.

A student recognition event took place at the Mongla Upazila Auditorium on Saturday afternoon, jointly organized by the Mongla Municipal and Upazila branches of the Islami Chhatra Shibir. A total of 300 students who passed the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Dakhil examinations with merit were celebrated for their academic achievements.

The honored students were presented with floral greetings, crests, and gift boxes as tokens of recognition and encouragement for their accomplishments.

The ceremony was attended by Advocate Mawlana Sheikh Abdul Wadud, Nayeb-e-Ameer of Bagerhat District Jamaat-e-Islami, who served as the chief guest. Other attendees included Professor Kohinur Sardar, Nayeb-e-Ameer of Mongla Upazila Jamaat; former local Shibir leaders Zahir Uddin Babar Musalli, Anisur Rahman, Idris Ali, Emran Hossain, Bayezid Hossain, Mainuddin Milon, Hafizur Rahman, and Sekendar Ali; as well as the current president of Mongla Municipality Chhatra Shibir Md. Maruf Billah and Upazila Chhatra Shibir President Mehedi Hasan Tamim.

In their speeches, the guests emphasized the importance of building a life based on both merit and morality. They encouraged students to dream big, remain committed to their goals, and engage deeply with knowledge, science, and ethical values. Speakers noted that success is not limited to academic scores alone but also involves character development, personal responsibility, and the ability to choose the right path in life.

They urged the youth to align their education with social responsibility, time management, and spiritual values to become agents of positive change in both society and the state.

The event concluded with a call for students to remain focused on purposeful living, guided by integrity and a sense of duty to the nation.
