PABNA, March 2, (V7N) - The 138th advent commemoration festival of Sri Sri Thakur Anukulchandra began on Monday at the Himaitpur Satsang Ashram in Pabna, coinciding with the auspicious Dol-Purnima Tithi. The three-day festival opened with congregational prayers in the morning, lamp lighting in the evening, and devotional gatherings attended by thousands of devotees from across Bangladesh and West Bengal.
The inaugural ceremony was led by Advocate Indrajit Saha, Trustee of the Hindu Religious Welfare Trust (Sirajganj, Pabna, Bogra regions). Retired physician Captain Dr. Sarwar Jahan Faiz spoke as guest of honor at the evening discussion. The session was presided over by Prati Ritwik Pranshankar Das, President of the Satsang Central Committee.
On the first day, a youth conference was held, attended by former joint secretary of Pabna BNP Mosabbir Hoseb Sanju as guest of honor. Senior leaders of the Satsang Central Committee and Ritwik Parishad addressed the gathering.
On Tuesday, the second day of the festival, Advocate Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas, MP for Pabna-5, will attend as chief guest. Special guests will include Pabna Deputy Commissioner Dr. Shahed Mostafa, Superintendent of Police Anwar Zahid, and leaders from religious, social, and media organizations.
The program schedule includes uninterrupted nama meditation, devotional music, scripture readings, lamp lighting, conch blowing, doljatra of Purushottam Shri Krishna, commemorations of Sri Sri Gauranga Mahaprabhu’s 541st appearance, youth and worker conferences, and distribution of Maha Prasad.
General Secretary of the Satsang Central Committee Prati Ritwik Tapas Chandra Barman said, “We have made all preparations to celebrate the event smoothly. Lakhs of devotees have arrived, and law enforcement agencies are deployed to ensure security.”
