Dhaka, Sep 24 (V7N) – ACC Chairman Abdul Momen has expressed hope that the verdict in the six ongoing corruption cases against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her family members will be delivered by mid-November.
He made the remarks during the signing ceremony of a five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) and Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) on Wednesday (Sept 24). The MoU aims to accelerate activities related to corruption prevention in the country.
The agreement was signed by ACC Director General Md. Akhter Hossain and TIB Executive Director Dr. Iftekharuzzaman. ACC officials noted that under the MoU, the two organizations will work together on mutual cooperation, public engagement, consultation, awareness campaigns, research, and training, among other initiatives to strengthen anti-corruption efforts.
