Dhaka, July 29 (V7N) – The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has issued a special warning following a rise in pressure differences over the North Bay of Bengal, driven by active monsoon winds. The resulting conditions may lead to stormy weather over the bay, as well as coastal areas and seaports.

According to the alert issued this afternoon, the intensified monsoon activity is causing instability in the region’s weather, increasing the risk of strong gusts and turbulent seas.

In light of the situation, maritime ports in Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mongla, and Payra have been advised to hoist local warning signal number 3.

Fishing boats and trawlers operating in the North Bay have been urged to proceed toward the coast with caution and remain alert until further notice.

Authorities recommend monitoring further updates and avoiding risky maritime activities during this period.
