Dhaka, Aug 15 (V7N) – In a late-night joint operation, army personnel recovered drugs, explosives, and locally made weapons from the Geneva Camp in Mohammadpur, Dhaka, arresting two individuals.
The raid, conducted around 1:45 a.m. on Thursday (Aug 14) in Sector 7 of the camp, led to the arrest of Rana Mithun (25) and Md. Moktar (63), both residents of the area.
According to army sources, the operation was based on intelligence inputs. The recovered items include:

200 pieces of Yaba tablets

13 cocktails and 236 grams of gunpowder

2 samurai swords and 12 hockey sticks

30 helmets, 2 dragon lights

11 kg of marijuana and 12 packets of heroin

Tk 1.13 crore in cash
Following the arrests, the detainees were taken to the Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Army Camp for questioning. On Friday morning, the confiscated drugs, weapons, and cash were handed over to Mohammadpur Police Station for further legal action.
