Dhaka, Nov 16 (V7N) — After four straight increases, the Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has finally reduced gold prices in the domestic market. The price of 22-carat gold has been slashed by Tk 5,447 per bhori, bringing it down to Tk 2,08,272.
The revised rates were announced in a BAJUS circular issued on Saturday night, and the new prices came into effect today (Sunday).
BAJUS had last adjusted prices on Thursday (November 13), when the rate of 22-carat gold was raised by Tk 5,248 to Tk 2,13,719 per bhori.

With this latest update, BAJUS has now adjusted gold prices 77 times in 2025—raising prices 53 times and reducing them 24 times. In comparison, gold prices were adjusted 62 times last year, with 35 hikes and 27 reductions.
