DHAKA, March 18,  (V7N) – Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is carrying out urgent government responsibilities from his residence in Gulshan during the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays, according to the Prime Minister’s Office.  

“Eid holidays began from Tuesday. The Prime Minister is staying at his residence on Gulshan Avenue. From there, he is attending to urgent government matters and keeping track of ongoing activities across the country,” said Atikur Rahman Ruman, the Prime Minister’s Additional Press Secretary.  

Ruman noted that the premier is inquiring about the progress of canal excavation programmes nationwide, ensuring proper monitoring through discussions with concerned ministers. He has also spoken with mayors and administrators of city corporations, urging them to maintain cleanliness during the festive period.  

The Prime Minister has discussed Eid travel arrangements with relevant ministers and state ministers to ensure smooth movement for holidaymakers.  

Despite Tuesday being a public holiday, Rahman attended office at the Secretariat, where he chaired a cabinet meeting and a meeting of the Farmer Card Implementation Committee.  

The Eid holiday will continue until March 23, but the Prime Minister is expected to remain engaged in overseeing urgent national matters throughout the period.
