Dhaka, Sep 15 (V7N) – Remittance inflows into Bangladesh have increased by 13.5 percent in the first 13 days of September, reaching $1,306 million, according to Bangladesh Bank.

During the same period last year, the country received $1,150 million in remittances. From July 1 to September 13 of the current fiscal year, expatriates sent a total of $6,205 million, up from $5,288 million during the same period in the previous fiscal year.

Bangladesh received a record $30.33 billion in remittances during the 2024-25 fiscal year, the highest in the country’s history. This marks a 26.8 percent increase compared to $23.91 billion in FY24.

Bangladesh Bank attributed the growth to increased participation by expatriate Bangladeshis, along with improvements in remittance channels and economic incentives.
