DHAKA, March 28, 2026 (V7N) – Bangladesh’s cricketers have begun training to prepare for a packed international schedule this year, starting with a white-ball home series against New Zealand.
The Black Caps are set to arrive in Dhaka on April 13 for three ODIs and three T20 Internationals.
Following the Eid-ul-Fitr vacation, 37 players joined the national team’s camp in Mirpur on Friday. Cricketers from all three formats reported, except six players—Mustafizur Rahman, Shoriful Islam, Parvez Hossain Emon, Rishad Hossain, Nahid Rana and Tanzid Hasan Tamim—who are currently engaged in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
All-rounders SM Meherob Hasan and Abdul Gaffar Saqlain from the High Performance Unit, along with domestic regular Ruyel Miah and Mosaddek Hossain—who last played for Bangladesh in 2022—were also present.
Test players will remain in camp until April 16 before departing for the Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL), which begins on April 21.
White-ball players will stay in camp until April 13. The ODI squad will open the three-match series against New Zealand on April 17 in Dhaka.
The T20I squad will then hold a separate camp ahead of the three-match T20I series, scheduled to begin on April 27.
