HABIGANJ, July 5 (V7N) – In a special operation based on confidential intelligence, police in Madhabpur, Habiganj, recovered 108 kilograms of cannabis from an abandoned garage. The raid was conducted at around 10:00 AM on Saturday in the West Madhabpur area, near the old Rural Electrification Office in Madhabpur municipality.
The operation was led by Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Shahid Ullah of Madhabpur Police Station. He was joined by Inspector (Investigation) Md. Kabir Hossain, Sub-Inspectors (Unarmed) Md. Shahanur Islam and Md. Saidur Rahman, along with other accompanying police personnel.
According to police sources, the cannabis was found inside the abandoned garage following a tip-off. However, no arrests were made during the operation.
OC Mohammad Shahid Ullah stated, “The cannabis was recovered in an abandoned condition. We are investigating to determine who was responsible for storing the drugs. Operations like this will continue as part of our ongoing campaign against narcotics.”
