Barguna, Sept 2 (V7N) — BNP Vice Chairman Alhaj Nurul Islam Moni has declared that no further conspiracies will be allowed on the soil of Bangladesh and that the upcoming national election will take place under the leadership of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). He made these remarks on Monday during a public rally in Barguna, marking the party’s 47th founding anniversary.

Speaking at a gathering that followed a colorful procession through the town’s main roads, Moni stated, “The people of both constituencies in Barguna are now waiting for BNP’s leadership. The entire nation awaits Tarique Rahman. We will not allow any further conspiracy to unfold in this country. The next election will be held under his leadership.”

The anniversary celebrations in Barguna included a variety of events organized by the district BNP, beginning with a large procession that culminated in a public meeting at the municipal market square. The procession and rally drew thousands of supporters from the Barguna district and upazila units, including members of the BNP’s women's wing, Swechasebak Dal, and Chatra Dal.

The district BNP also announced a week-long series of programs to commemorate the party's anniversary, including discussion meetings, special publications, and various community engagement activities.

Founded in 1978 by former President Ziaur Rahman, the BNP is one of Bangladesh’s leading political parties. With national elections expected in early 2026, party leaders have intensified their mobilization efforts nationwide, rallying supporters and asserting their intent to return to power through what they claim will be a mass-driven, democratic movement.
