Dhaka, Sep 24 (V7N) – The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) and Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) have signed a five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in corruption prevention and ethical governance.
The signing ceremony took place at the ACC headquarters on Wednesday at 11 am. Md. Akhter Hossain, Director General (Prevention) of the ACC, and Dr. Iftekharuzzaman, Executive Director of TIB, signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations.
The event was attended by ACC Chairman Dr. Mohammad Abdul Momen, Commissioner (Investigation) Brig Gen (Retd.) Hafiz Ahsan Farid, Secretary Mohammad Khaled Rahim, along with senior officials from both ACC and TIB.
According to officials, under the new MoU, the two institutions will work together on public awareness campaigns, training, research, consultations, and community involvement to strengthen ethics and systematic excellence in combating corruption.
This is the fifth phase of cooperation between ACC and TIB. Earlier, the two organizations signed their first MoU on May 25, 2015, followed by subsequent agreements in 2017, 2019, and 2022. The new agreement will remain in effect for five years, from October 1, 2025 to September 30, 2030.
