Dhaka, Sep 11 (V7N) – The National Consensus Commission has begun discussions with major political parties on the implementation process of the July Charter. The dialogue took place on Thursday morning at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital.

Representatives from the BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami, NCP, and other parties joined the meeting. According to commission sources, the dialogue aims to gather views on key issues such as ensuring free and fair elections, safeguarding democratic practices, and shaping a framework for political stability.

Although the final July Charter outlined major demands, it did not specify any mechanism for implementation. To address this gap, the commission is holding talks with 30 political parties and alliances throughout the day.

Political analysts note that today’s discussions could lay the foundation for a future political compromise, especially on sensitive issues tied to the July uprising and subsequent reforms.
