Gaza City, June 26 (V7N) – At least 86 more Palestinians have been killed in the latest wave of Israeli air and ground assaults across the Gaza Strip, according to a report by Al Jazeera. The attack has also left dozens more injured, many critically.
Among those killed, over 50 were reportedly civilians waiting for humanitarian aid, underscoring the growing humanitarian crisis in the war-torn enclave. The total death toll in Gaza since the beginning of the conflict has now surpassed 56,000, making it one of the deadliest and most protracted conflicts in recent history.
Eyewitnesses and local health officials report that many of the victims were gathered near aid distribution centers in desperate search of food and essential supplies when the strikes occurred.
Human rights organizations have condemned the increasing attacks on civilians and called for an immediate ceasefire and unrestricted humanitarian access to Gaza, where over two million people remain under siege.
The situation continues to deteriorate as Israeli military operations expand into densely populated civilian areas, while access to food, water, medical care, and shelter remains severely limited.
International calls for restraint and renewed diplomatic efforts have so far failed to produce a lasting truce, as both casualties and suffering mount daily.
