Sana’a, Sep 21 (V7N)- At least four civilians were killed and three others injured in an airstrike targeting telecommunications towers in Yemen’s Al-Jawf governorate, according to the Houthi-run SABA news agency.

The strike reportedly took place on Sunday in the Khabb wa ash Sha'af district of Al-Jawf, with telecommunications facilities among the reported targets.

A local source cited by SABA said the victims were workers.

The SABA report attributed the airstrikes to Saudi Arabia. However, Saudi authorities had not immediately commented on the allegation, according to Anadolu Agency.

The incident comes amid renewed military tensions involving Yemen and Saudi Arabia. The Houthi group has recently claimed attacks on targets in Saudi Arabia, while Saudi authorities have reported intercepting missiles and thwarting other attacks.

Further details about the circumstances of the Al-Jawf strike and the condition of those injured were not immediately available.
