Washington, June 25 (V7N) – US President Donald Trump posted a provocative 60-second video on social media featuring a parody song titled “Bomb Iran” set to footage of a B-2 bomber dropping bombs. The video appeared on Trump’s platform Truth Social amid rising tensions in the ongoing Iran-Israel conflict.
The song is a parody of the Beach Boys’ hit “Barbara Ann,” with the chorus replaced by the repeated phrase “Bomb Iran.” Some lyrics in the video include:
“Old Uncle Sam (the US government) is getting hot
It’s time to turn Iran into a parking lot
Bomb Iran. Bomb. Bomb. Bomb.”
The video comes after the US participated in attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities at Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, supporting Israel in the conflict. The White House had earlier indicated that a decision on deeper US involvement would be made within two weeks. However, President Trump publicly called for attacks on Iran just three days after that announcement.
Trump’s video has drawn sharp criticism from US senators and opposition leaders, who say it trivializes a grave and sensitive issue. Political analysts condemned the post as reckless, noting that it followed a controversial decision to launch strikes without formal congressional approval.
Supporters of Trump, meanwhile, praise the video as a firm stance on Iran, interpreting it as part of his tough foreign policy message in the lead-up to the 2024 US presidential election.
The timing of this post is viewed as highly sensitive, given the fragile state of Middle East peace and growing fears of escalation.
