Dhaka, Aug 17 (V7N) – Inter Miami secured a 3-1 victory over Los Angeles Galaxy in Major League Soccer (MLS) at Chase Stadium in Miami. Argentine superstar Lionel Messi marked his return from injury with a goal.

Despite trailing in possession, Miami dominated in attack. Jordi Alba opened the scoring at the end of the first half, giving the hosts a 1-0 lead.

Messi came on as a second-half substitute, and shortly after, Galaxy equalized through Josep. Messi restored Miami’s lead in the 84th minute with a strike from a pass by Rodrigo De Paul, bringing his season tally to 19 goals, the highest in MLS this season.

Five minutes later, Messi assisted Luis Suarez, who scored the winning goal. With this victory, Inter Miami moved to fourth place in the Eastern Conference with 45 points.

Looking ahead, the Messi–Suarez duo will face Tigres in the League Cup quarter-final next Thursday, with kickoff scheduled for 6 am Bangladesh time.
