Orlando, Aug 11 (V7N) – Orlando City SC secured a commanding 4-1 victory over an Inter Miami side missing their star Lionel Messi in a Major League Soccer clash at Inter & Co Stadium on Monday.
Orlando took an early lead in the 2nd minute, but Miami equalized quickly through Bright in the 5th minute. The first half ended 1-1.
In the second half, Luis Muriel shone with a brace, scoring in the 50th minute. Martin Ojeda added another goal in the 58th minute, and Marco Pasalic sealed the win with a goal in the 88th minute.
The win lifts Orlando to 4th place in the Eastern Conference with 44 points from 26 matches, while Miami sits 6th with 42 points from 23 matches.
Messi, the league's top scorer, was sidelined due to an injury sustained during the Leagues Cup on August 3 and missed the league match, marking a tough defeat for Inter Miami.
