Barisal, Feb 04 (V7N) — The BNP’s divisional election rally has begun at Bells Park ground in Barisal, with party chairman Tarique Rahman in attendance. He is scheduled to address the rally shortly.

Leaders and activists from Barisal division and surrounding districts started arriving at the venue from early Wednesday (February 4) morning, using launches, speedboats, and other means of transport to attend the event.

At the rally, Tarique Rahman is expected to introduce BNP candidates for all 21 parliamentary seats in the Barisal division and seek votes for the ‘paddy sheaf’ symbol. His speech is also likely to outline the party’s vision for the future of the country and address local issues affecting the region.

Grassroots leaders and activists have expressed enthusiasm over Tarique Rahman’s visit to Barisal after more than two decades, hoping the rally will inject fresh momentum into the party’s election campaign and boost voter confidence in the candidates.

Following the Barisal programme, Tarique Rahman is scheduled to attend another election rally at Rajendra College ground in Faridpur later this afternoon.
