Dhaka, Dec 20 (V7N)- BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman’s wife, Dr. Zubaida Rahman, left Dhaka for London on Saturday morning after staying in the capital for 15 days.
She departed from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at around 8:45 am on a Bangladesh Biman flight. Earlier, Dr. Zubaida left her father’s residence in Dhanmondi for the airport at approximately 8:30 am. No leaders or activists of the BNP were present with her at the time of departure.
Dr. Zubaida Rahman had arrived in Dhaka on December 5 following the deterioration of the physical condition of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia. Over the past two weeks, she remained closely involved in overseeing Khaleda Zia’s medical care.
Sources said that as Khaleda Zia’s health condition has shown some improvement, Dr. Zubaida is returning to London for now. She is expected to return to Dhaka again on December 25, accompanied by BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman and their daughter Jayma Rahman.
