Dhaka, June 27 (V7N) — AB Party Chairman Mujibur Rahman Manju has alleged that the interim government, despite holding power, lacks real authority and has failed to maintain the unity and spirit of the mass uprising.
He made these remarks on Friday morning during a press conference at the party’s central office, organized in connection with the anniversary of the July Uprising.
Manju criticized the notion that elections alone can resolve the ongoing instability in the country. “Many parties believe that the country’s instability can be resolved through elections. In reality, such thinking is not logical. True stability will not be achieved without a firm commitment to fulfilling the expectations of the mass uprising through proper planning,” he said.
During the press conference, the AB Party announced a 36-day program to commemorate the July Uprising. The program will include discussion meetings, banquets, presentation of memorandums, and documentary screenings.
