Dhaka, Dec 15 (V7N) — Inqilab Mancha spokesperson and independent parliamentary candidate Sharif Osman Hadi has been taken to Singapore for advanced medical treatment. The aircraft carrying him departed Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Monday afternoon.

The air ambulance arrived in Dhaka at 11:20 am, and shortly afterward, Hadi was transferred from Evercare Hospital to the airport under strict medical supervision. The flight to Singapore is expected to take approximately three and a half hours.

Two specialist doctors and trained nurses are accompanying Hadi during the journey. His elder brother is also traveling with him.

Despite continuous treatment, no improvement has been observed in Hadi’s physical condition over the past two days. He had been undergoing treatment in critical condition at the ICU of Evercare Hospital in Dhaka.

Doctors said on Sunday that Hadi suffered severe brain stem injury and excessive brain swelling, which caused a rise in blood pressure. His heart rate was also reported to be slightly above normal. Medical support has been ongoing to stabilize his blood pressure and cardiac condition.

So far, the medical team has not released any updated information regarding his condition.

Earlier, Inqilab Mancha Member Secretary Abdullah Al Jaber announced at a press conference in front of Evercare Hospital on Sunday evening that arrangements were being finalized to send Hadi abroad for advanced treatment. Later that night, the press wing of the Chief Advisor confirmed that the interim government had decided to send him to Singapore and would bear all treatment-related expenses.

It is worth noting that Sharif Osman Hadi was critically injured in a shooting attack in the Bijoynagar Box Culvert area of the capital on Friday (December 12). He was shot in the head by assailants who fled the scene on a motorcycle. Law enforcement agencies are continuing investigations into the incident.
