Dhaka, Aug 11 (V7N) – Popular actor Afran Nisho, who last made a cameo appearance in the Eid-released film Tandav, has been absent from new projects in recent months. Fans were recently delighted to learn that he will star in Dum, directed by Redwan Rony. However, the excitement was tempered by news of a serious knee injury that has forced him to pause all shooting activities.

Speaking at an event at North South University on Saturday, Nisho revealed that he has torn ligaments in his leg and is currently undergoing rest. “Producer Rafi knows when Tunnel-2 will come. But I have to be physically fit first. To live a fully active life, I will need knee surgery,” he said.

“This has never been said before — today I am sharing it here for the first time. If many people know this, they might not hire me, thinking my leg is broken,” Nisho added candidly.

The news has left many fans and art enthusiasts concerned, with well-wishes pouring in for his speedy recovery and return to acting.

Meanwhile, the series Aanka, directed by Vicky Zahed and featuring Nisho alongside Masuma Rahman Nabila, is scheduled for release on an OTT platform in September.
