CHATTOGRAM, June 29 (V7N)– The second day of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination under the Chattogram Education Board (CEB) concluded peacefully today, despite two instances of examinees being expelled for unfair means.

According to board sources, two students from Government City College were expelled during the Bangla second paper examination for engaging in dishonest practices.

A CEB source confirmed that on this second day, a total of 87,083 students participated in the examination out of 88,318 registered candidates. These students appeared at 115 centers across 307 colleges under the board. The figures also show that 1,235 students were absent from the Bangla second paper examination today.

To ensure the integrity of the examinations, 65 vigilance teams, comprising teachers and magistrates, actively visited various centers throughout the port city.

Professor Dr. Parvez Sajjad Chowdhury, Controller of the CEB, reiterated that the first day of the examination also passed off peacefully and was largely free from unfair means. He emphasized that the authorities have implemented all necessary measures to uphold the trend of peaceful and fair examinations that has been observed in recent years.
