Narayanganj, Sep 22 (V7N) – Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has assured that there is no security risk during this year’s Durga Puja celebrations. He said that security arrangements have been significantly strengthened compared to previous years, ensuring a peaceful and festive atmosphere.
The Home Affairs Advisor made the remarks after visiting puja temples in the Mission Para area of Narayanganj on Monday morning. He stated that this year, Durga Puja will be observed in 33,000 mandaps across the country. For overall security, members of the Ansar, police, RAB, BGB, and army will be deployed, and CCTV cameras have been installed at every mandap.
Jahangir Alam Chowdhury also noted that volunteers from the puja celebration committees will assist law enforcement personnel in maintaining safety and order at all mandaps.
