Dhaka, Aug 21 (V7N) – Bangladesh Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman has left Dhaka for an official visit to China, according to a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Thursday (August 21).

During the visit, General Waqar-uz-Zaman is scheduled to hold courtesy meetings with senior military and civilian leaders of China. Discussions will focus on enhancing bilateral cooperation in the defense sector and strengthening military-to-military ties between the two countries.

The army chief is expected to return to Bangladesh on August 27 after completing his visit.
