Dhaka, Aug 14 (V7N) – The roadmap for the 13th National Parliament election will be announced next week, Election Commission (EC) Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed said on Thursday.

Speaking at a press briefing, the EC Secretary confirmed that the election roadmap was discussed during a commission meeting and will be published next week. However, details regarding its structure and key points will be disclosed later.

On the issue of expatriate voting rights, Akhtar Ahmed said discussions are ongoing to determine a suitable method, and further deliberations are needed before a decision is made.

So far, the commission has received 318 applications from individuals and organizations seeking to observe the election. Scrutiny of these applications is currently underway.
