Dhaka, July 03 (V7N) — Mehdi Benchelah, Senior Project Officer of UNESCO’s Section for Freedom of Expression, Division of Freedom of Expression and Media Development, paid a courtesy call on Inspector General of Police (IGP) Baharul Alam at the Police Headquarters on Thursday morning.
According to a statement from the Police Headquarters, the meeting focused on issues related to training initiatives aimed at enhancing the capacity of the Bangladesh Police. Both sides discussed potential areas of collaboration to strengthen institutional skills and promote best practices in policing.
IGP Baharul Alam thanked the UNESCO representative for the visit and expressed optimism that cooperation between Bangladesh Police and UNESCO would continue and deepen in the future.
Relevant senior officials from the Bangladesh Police and UNESCO were present during the meeting.
