Mumbai, June 28 (V7N) - Indian actress and dancer Shefali Jariwala, widely recognized for her appearance in the iconic music video “Kaanta Laga” and her participation in Bigg Boss 13, has passed away following a sudden cardiac arrest. She was 42.
The incident occurred late Friday night. According to a report by The Times of India, Shefali collapsed at home and was rushed to Belle Vue Multispeciality Hospital in Mumbai by her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, and three close companions. She was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Shefali rose to instant stardom in the early 2000s with her performance in Kaanta Laga, a remix video that became a cultural phenomenon in India and across South Asia. Over the years, she expanded her career to film, television, and reality shows, most notably gaining renewed popularity as a contestant on Bigg Boss 13, one of India’s most-watched reality shows.
She was also a familiar face in various television programs and was admired for her candor, charm, and bold personality. Her appearances often highlighted her vibrant energy and strong screen presence.
