Pabna, June 29 (V7N) - In Sujanagar, Pabna, content creator Saimum Sajid’s residence was attacked, vandalized, and looted by a group allegedly linked to Awami League supporters. The incident reportedly occurred due to Saimum’s creation of content opposing India and fascists.
 
On Saturday evening (June 28) around 6 PM, the attack took place at Sajid’s home in Char Jordopukuria village under Dulai Union of Sujanagar Upazila.
 
Following the incident, Sajid filed a complaint with Sujanagar Police Station on Sunday (June 29) at noon.
 
According to sources, Saimum Sajid used to post anti-India and anti-fascist content on his Facebook page, which angered some local Awami League supporters. As a result, around 15 to 20 Awami League affiliates, including Amirul Islam Hossain, Rafiqul Islam, Jamal Uddin, and Muktar Hossain, allegedly armed with indigenous weapons, forcefully entered Sajid’s home, causing extensive damage and theft. They reportedly also assaulted family members before fleeing the scene. Witnesses state the attackers threatened Sajid to stop producing such videos, even issuing death threats.
 
Victim Saimum Sajid expressed that he has been living in constant fear since the incident. He urged law enforcement agencies to promptly arrest the perpetrators and impose exemplary punishment to deter such acts.
 
Efforts to reach the accused for comment have been unsuccessful; they have reportedly been in hiding since the attack.
 
Sujanagar Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge (OC), Mujibur Rahman, confirmed receiving the complaint and assured that an investigation is underway and legal action will be taken accordingly.
