Chandpur, Feb 20 (V7N) — Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to tackling social problems, expressing determination to build a country free from drugs, terrorism, juvenile gangs and examination cheating.

He made the remarks while addressing a program in Kachua upazila of Chandpur on Friday afternoon.

Strong Stand Against Social Problems

The minister said the government has adopted a firm position against social menaces, stressing that efforts are underway to curb drug abuse, extremism and youth crime.

He noted that Kachua has symbolic importance, recalling that initiatives to make examinations free from cheating began there in the past.

“Just as the journey to make examinations cheating-free started from Kachua, the journey to build a corruption-free country will also begin from here,” he said.

Under Prime Minister’s Leadership

He added that these initiatives will be implemented under the leadership of Tarique Rahman, emphasizing the government’s broader agenda of social reform and discipline.

The statement comes amid the new government’s wider push to strengthen governance, law enforcement and education standards across the country.
